Where's your messiah now?
      #12929 - 02/09/2008 15:16

So, Keegan's gone...quelle surprise.

Did he walk because he wasn't supported by the board? Or was he sacked (latest story as of 15:12)?

I said when he was appointed he'd be nowhere near the 'messiah' he was claimed to be and it's no surprise that it's worked out that way. Did Mike Ashley bring him in to quiet the dissenters for a bit longer? It was a win win for him really. Keegan returns at the fans' behest so if he succeeds, Mr Ashley is a hero for bringing him back. If Keegan fails, he can say he was just following what the fans wanted. Either way, Keegan never looked himself...he seemed shellshocked when he first appeared in the stands...like a man who's just realised that the childhood home he once loved has been turned into the headquarters of a multi national giant.

So long Kev...you were great, once.
