There's a very good website following Argentina's national side through the Copa in English... what's its name again...
From what the press have said (because I've had to collate my reports from the Argentine media due to the time they've been playing), Verón was fairly anonymous in the first match against the States reserves, and a bit better against Colombia. Aimar came on for him in the first match and is widely held to have made the difference after the break. In the third group match against Paraguay, Verón didn't feature because Basile fielded a virtual second eleven.
We'll probably get the chance to see him tomorrow, at a nice sensible time in the evening (only 12:45 am!), unless Basile makes him the victim of one of the 'changes' he's planning.
