This comes as no suprise to me. For years I have questioned the integrity and need for FIFA and Blatter's recent comments have done nothing to dwell my growing hatred of his reign. He no longer - same as Platini - has the game's best interest at heart and continues to follow down the line of dictatorship. Their growing displeasure of anything English or Premiership related is quickly shot down and critisised. The trouble at the Euro's, if that were English fan's, threats of expulsions from future competitions would be issued, the rug grows higher and higher. I'm sure that this won't be the last case involving Brazilians playing in developing leagues around the world, nor will it be the last time Blatter adds to the rug's height. I've always beleived that sport and politics shouldn't mix, today, at the highest level, it's more important than the sport. Role on SA 2010, Blatter's last stand! |
