I admire your confidence in the English side but I suspect that hype will once again scupper the team. Undoubtedly Capello is a huge improvement on Sven and McClaren but I doubt winning the competition may prove to be even beyond his powers. This leads me to my main gripe about the world cup, it is rigged. Witness UEFA's craven capitulation in seeding the play offs for qualification. I read the organiser of the competition in South Africa saying that Ronaldo's absence would be a 'disaster' for the competition. Who would back Bosnia Herzegovina to beat Portugal. Seems to me this is a done deal. We should not be surprised at this .Every world cup throws up at least some nefarious deeds.
