Very annoying that they lost to Marseille because there's nothing I like to see more than a "big club" in the relegation mire.
But Lyon are almost certain to win the league again at a hack canter.
All the teams most likely to challenge them had a terrible start to the season - Marseille being the most obvious.
It seems hard to imagine a team like Nancy sustaining a challenge (though I'd love to see it). Maybe Bordeaux - much more attractive than the team that totally lived up to their name in the CL last year or Monaco (if they can go on a run) are the most likely challengers - but I still think they'll be fighting for a distant second.
Come on Nancy & Rennes I say. I'd much rather see one of these "unfashionable" clubs in the CL. With Lyon of course...

take lyon's crown? thats a bit far-fetched since JM Aulas created the empire that l'OL are today...i dont think they're slipping, they're just adapting to changes within the team...by next season they'll be back to firing on all engines. with toulalan, benzema, ben arfa, kade keita, kallstrom and clerc all improving rapidly OL will get over juninho's aging problem, baros' misfiring and the loss of tiago...only problem is, they dont have a good enough goalie to succeed coupet...oh, and bordeaux with blanc can tease them for a few seasons, but never take their crown

not at all. Lyon can afford to slip quite a bit and still be well above the L1 standard. Shame.
