I cant believe you've not included the greatest game from the champions league era - Manchester united 4 Real Madrid 3 (2003). That game had everything, drama, quality finishing, high intensity, world class players on top of their game. It was notably the last time we saw the "real Ronaldo", before he got fat and lost his pace. Although Real Madrid looked like favourites to go through for the whole 90 minutes; you never got the sense that Man utd were out of the tie. After Beckhams late goals united were only 2 goals away from taking an aggregate lead and in such an open game you couldn't rule it out. The atmosphere at Old Trafford really was electric that night. It was the game that changed football as it convinced a certain Russian billionaire that football was the most exciting form of entertainment around. No matter what you think of Red Roman; you cant deny the impact of that game.

Is that really the greatest Champions League game? Sure, it's up there but, in my opinion, the greatest Champions League game is the 2005 final in Istanbul, Liverpool vs AC Milan. Who could forget that magnificent comeback, that fighting spirit and Jerzy Dudek's heroics in the penalty shootout? Priceless.

Agree with Barrett, the sheer range of emotions watching that match. Fantastic! Kaka's pass to Crespo for Milan's third was very special indeed, and Gerrard's performance overall has not been matched anywhere to this day.

These are all good ones, but I can't look beyond West Ham v Liverpool in the 2006 FA Cup Final. 3-3 after normal time before Liverpool won on penalties. It was a very entertaining game with Steven Gerrard in the form of this life!
