How honest is our game?
      #14751 - 09/11/2009 16:49

Another weekend of controversy and ref. baiting and still FIFA refuses to contemplate video technology. I can't help wondering if this is because at heart football is fundamentally dishonest, the sums of money at stake are so vast can it be otherwise? Look at the calciopoly scandal in Italy, no real action was taken even the demotion of Juventus was a slap on the wrist with no institutional change. This situation arose it seems when the clubs without Milans' resources tried to compete. This is now being mirrored in the Premiership, is it just a matter of time before we have our own unpleasantness?

There are too many grey areas that is for sure. As this football blog on the Premier League says, the first rule of football is that nobody knows the rules!
