My point about the semantics of the 'Champions League' was that it simply isn't what it says it is. I have no issue of a european league which could consist of as many 'big' teams as one wishes, however, unless it is a league comprising of champions, it cannot be correctly named thus. My wider point was about how it used to be a straight competition rewarding those who had won their domestic leagues, whereas now it is open to non champions for money's sake yet retains the 'champions' moniker, which is disingenuous.
