ALLI LINKED WITH MOVE TO PSG

Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from their disappointing defeat to Everton by hammering Southampton 5-2 at Saint Mary’s Stadium on Sunday. However, Jose Mourinho’s decision to leave Dele Alli out of his squad was one of the main talking points after the game.

Tottenham Hotspur’s English midfielder Dele Alli reacts after missing a chance during the English Premier League football match between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, on September 13, 2020.

According to the Daily Mail, Mourinho’s squad was left stunned by the 24-year-old midfielder’s absence. The midfielder’s future is growing uncertain, with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain said to be keen on signing him. There’s no doubt that he’s a talented player, but there’s understood to be a mutual feeling from all parties that he may benefit from a move away to reinvigorate his career.

BREWSTER ATTRACTING INTEREST

One player who looks set for a move before the transfer window slam shut is Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster. The 20-year-old had a very successful spell on loan at Swansea City in the Championship last season, and is now attracting interest from a number of Premier League sides.

Liverpool’s English striker Rhian Brewster shoots and misses from the penalty spot during the shoot-out during the English FA Community Shield football match between Arsenal and Liverpool at Wembley Stadium in north London on August 29, 2020.

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace are leading the race for the youngster, with Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion also interested in the England Under-21 international. It’s understood that The Reds are looking for around £20 million for the striker if they are to sell.

ARSENAL REMAINING CALM OVER LACAZETTE CONTRACT

Mikel Arteta has revealed that The Gunners are not in negotiations with Alexandre Lacazette over a new contract, with the 29-year-old striker having less than two years left on his current deal, according to the Daily Mirror.

Arsenal’s French striker Alexandre Lacazette reacts during the English Premier League football match between Arsenal and West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium in London on September 19, 2020.

The Gunners were given an anxious wait over the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer after he entered the final year of his contract, and they’ll want to ensure that they avoid a similar situation occurring with Lacazette.
