Bremen play down Frings to Juve talk
March 19, 2007Werder Bremen have dismissed reports claiming Torsten Frings has lined up a move to Juventus.
Werder sport director Klaus Allofs claims the 31-year-old is going nowhere.
"Torsten has a contract with us and hasn't given us a single hint that he is looking to leave. Such reports are just complete fabrications," Allofs told SID.
Frings' agent Norbert Pflippen claims to have received offers for the player and told interested parties to contact Allofs.
"No offers or even queries have even reached my desk," Allofs added.
Frings also denied any knowledge of a move to Juventus.
"That's a joke - there is nothing to it at all. I haven't spoken to anybody. The Italian papers always need to find something to write about."
