Brazilian striker Ailton has completed his move from Schalke to Besiktas.
Schalke said Ailton, whospent just one season with the club, had signed and returned release papers.
“That was the last document left,” Schalke sports director Rudi Assauer confirmed.
“It all went smoothly. Ailton fully accepted our conditions. We wish him luck with his new club.”
The 32-year-old was Schalke’s top Bundesliga scorer with 14 goals last season.
Besiktas paid a transfer fee of around €3m for the striker.
