Danny Blind has been sacked as coach of Ajax, just over a year after taking charge in Amsterdam.
Ajax finished fourth in the first division, 24 points behind champions PSV Eindhoven, but qualified for the Champions League third qualifying round after winning the playoffs.
On Sunday Ajax clinched the Dutch Cup, beating PSV 2-1.
Despite losing several big-name players, Ajax demanded success, and their inability to run PSV Eindhoven closer in the Eredivisie ultimately cost Blind his job.
