Xabi Alonso insists he has no intention of leaving Liverpool amid increasing speculation that Barcelona want to bring him back to Spain.
Barcelona have identified Alonxo as a transfer target but the former Real Sociedad midfielder says he has no intention of returning to his homeland for the time being.
“It doesn’t affect me – my head is solely on Liverpool,” said Alonso.
“I have a contract with them until June 2009 and I am happy there.
“The option of returning to Spain is always there, but for the time being it is not one of my priorities.”
