Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed speculation that he is set to leave Chelsea for Roma after being spotted in the Italian capital.

Former Roma player Ancelotti has been tipped to take charge at the Stadio Olimpico if he is fired by Chelsea in the summer.

Speculation intensified after he was spotted in Rome earlier this week.

“I was visiting family that’s all,” Ancelotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Do you think on the eve of Chelsea v Manchester United a person could go negotiating with another club?

“I have already said it and I repeat – I feel really good in London.

“I don’t want to talk about my future until the Premier League is over.

“I have never spoken with other clubs.

“I want to stay in England and I assure you that next season I won’t come back to Italy.”
