Nicolas Anelka has been called up to the France squad for the forthcoming Euro 2008 qualifying matches against Scotland and The Faroe Islands.

The Bolton Wanderers striker has been added to the party due to injury doubts over Sidney Govou and Louis Saha.

Anelka’s last international appearance was in the March friendly against Slovakia.

The 27-year-old joined Bolton from Fenerbahce before the transfer deadline, but has yet to score in four Premiership appearances.
