Roma and Italy midfielder Alberto Aquilani will be out of action for around two months after pulling a thigh muscle in Tuesday’s 1-0 Champions League defeat at Manchester United.

“Alberto is better than yesterday,” Roma doctor Mario Brozzi told reporters, adding that he was likely to be out for two months.

Roma had initially feared that the 23-year-old midfielder could be missing for six months following a similar injury last year
