West Ham and Wolves are fighting for their Premiership lives and the teams clash at Upton Park on Tuesday night (20:00)

Alberto Aquilani’s agent has rubbisehd rumours linking the Italian with a summer departure from Liverpool.

Reports have suggested Liverpool could sell Aquilani just one season after he arrived from Roma in a bid to raise funds for their summer rebuilding plans.

Aquilani, who missed the first few months of the season because of injury, has struggled to hold down a regular place in Rafa Benitez’s starting XI since returning to fitness.

Aquilani’s representative, Franco Zavaglia, insists the rumours of a return to Serie A are misplaced.

“False news has been circulated around,” Zavaglia told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

“The player is happy in England and he will stay there with no problems.

“There is absolutely nothing that concerns him.”
