Robert Pires expects to be fit to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, and is confident his team can overturn the 3-1 deficit from the first leg.

The French midfielder was expected to sit out Wednesday’s game after picking up an ankle injury against Southampton ten days ago. However, Pires has made a speedy recovery.

“I am confident I will be fit,” Pires revealed.

“We have a very difficult task but we know we can do it and they know we can do it.

“What we have to do is attack with the brain, not the heart. Everybody knows that everything is possible with Arsenal.”
