The Champions League might have just finished for another season, but we’ve already got the outright prices for 2008/09. Will Man Utd retain the cup?

France goalkeeper Gregory Coupet has become the latest player to sign for Atletico Madrid after the Spanish club announced they had agreed terms with Lyon for the transfer of Coupet to Madrid.

Coupet, who played in all of France’s games at Euro 2008, becomes the latest player to join Atletico as they prepare to compete in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

Atletico have already signed Czech defender Tomas Ujfalusi from Fiorentina, Holland defender John Heitinga from Ajax, French striker Florent Sinama Pongolle from Recreativo and Brazilian midfielder Paulo Assuncao from Porto.

The fee for Coupet is believed to be in the region of €1.5million.
