Jonathan Bachini has been given a lifetime ban from the Italian League after testing positive for cocaine.

It is the second time the Siena midfielder has tested positive for cocaine and his ban means that his career is over.

Paolo Rodella, Bachini’s lawyer, told the Gazzetta dello Sport Friday that he would appeal the decision.

Bachini, 30, first tested positive while playing for Brescia in 2004, resulting in a nine-month ban. His second failed drug test came after Siena’s game at Lazio on Dec. 4.
