The prospect of Michael Ballack moving to Chelsea has increased after the German playmaker signed a bumper new deal with sportswear company adidas.
With Ballack almost certain to leave Bayern in the summer, and the player’s decision to extend his personal deal with adidas has increased speculation that he will move toto Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will wear adidas-manufactured shirts from July 1 and this has convinced the German media that Ballack will be heading for the Premiership.
“That is a logical conclusion,” Ballack’s agent Michael Becker said in response to questions that the German would be wearing an adidas shirt next term.
