Valencia’s Ruben Baraja is set to miss the rest of the season after damaging a hamstring during Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Inter.
The 31-year-old limped out of Tuesday night’s game and tests have revealed the injury will mean the midfielder will be sidelined for up to three months.
The Spanish international has spent much of the campaign on the sidelines after missing the start of the season with a broken leg.
Valencia have been plagued by injuries this season with Carlos Marchena, David Albelda, Emiliano Moretti, Jaime Gavilan, Mario Regueiro and Edu all suffering from long-term injury problems.
