Eastlands is the stage for Saturday’s huge Manchester derby and Gavin Beech previews the big match.

Barcelona have denied agreeing not to try and bring Spain international Cesc Fabregas back to Camp Nou.

Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood claimed on Wednesday informal talks between the clubs had taken place over Fabregas’ future and that the Catalan outfit had agreed not to make a move for the 22-year-old this summer.

Barca have held a long-standing interest in the talented playmaker, who left them as a teenager in September 2003.

However, technical secretary Txiki Begiristain insists nothing has been agreed with Arsenal and said that if they wanted to sign Fabregas they will hold transfer talks

“If Barcelona think that he is necessary for the team, they will go for him, always respecting negotiations,” he told AS.

“We have never said that we will not try to sign Cesc Fabregas. We will see what happens.”
