Chelsea boss, Luiz Felipe Scolari, has emerged as a shock candidate to be the next Premier League manager to leave this season.

Barcelona have denied reports that Manchester City have submitted a bid for Yaya Toure.

The free-spending Premier League outfit are looking to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window and boss Mark Hughes has confirmed he is keen to sign up to five players over the coming weeks.

There had been rumours that Ivory Coast international Toure was on City’s shopping list, but Barcelona have dismissed claims that an approach has already been made.

“We have not received any formal offers for Yaya Toure,” a club spokesman told skysports.com.
