Barcelona have again confirmed that Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho is not for sale, despite fresh speculation linking him with a move away from Camp Nou.

AS claimed Ronaldinho was “on the market” and could even leave during January’s transfer window.

Ronaldinho has come under fire in the press for some time now following some below-par performances on the pitch and unprofessional behaviour off it.

“Only an extraordinary transformation in his play and his public image can save him,” said AS.

However, Barcelona have moved to dispel such rumours.

“Ronaldinho is not for sale, neither in December (January), nor June. It’s inevitable that he has some problems with his game but we’ve never thought of selling him,” club vice-president Ferran Sorriano told La Vanguardia.

Milan and Chelsea are rumoured to be keen on the 27-year-old according to Spanish press, which also claims it is more likely that he will leave at the end of the season than during the transfer window.
