Barcelona have signed River Plate striker Maximiliano “Maxi” Lopez, the Spanish league leaders have confirmed.
The 20-year-old player has agreed a four-and-half-year contract with the club.
Lopez is the second winter signing for Barcelona after Italian midfielder Demetrio Albertini from Atalanta.
