They only finished 19th last season but after Sven Goran-Eriksson’s shock arrival at Notts County, the Pies are among the favourites for League Two glory – will the Swede make a difference.

Barcelona are poised to sign Brazilian starlet Keirrison after agreeing a €14million deal with Palmeiras.

Keirrison scored 21 league goals for his previous club Coritiba, before moving to Palmeiras in January where he scored five goals in seven league matches.

Meanwhile, the youngster has confirmed he is happy going on loan after being linked with a year-long loan with Benfica.

“I’m really happy to be joining Barcelona,” he told Sport.es. “I’d be happy going out on loan as it would help me get to know European football better.

“I have no problems with this. I accept that there’s room for me to improve on my arrival.

The 20-year-old is confident he is good enough to succeed with the European champions, adding: “I know I have the level to succeed in Barcelona.”
