Liverpool striker Milan Baros has confirmed that he wants to stay at Liverpool, despite receiving a lucrative offer from Lyon.
The French champions, under new coach Gerard Houllier, saw Baros as their principal transfer target this summer, but the Czech sttriker has turned down the chance of reuniting with the man who signed him at Liverpool.
”I’m going to start pre-season training at Liverpool on July 4 and we will see what happens,” Baros told CTK.
Baros’ agent, Pavel Paska, has confirmed that Baros was offered a sizeable deal by Lyon.
”He wants to play in the English league, he will improve his abilities,” confirmed Paska.
”He is still only 23. The offer from Lyon was great, in these days even exceptional.”
