After holding the mighty Chelsea to draw in the first leg, Wycombe will need another super-human effort if they want to make it the Carling Cup final.

Lyon have completed the signing of Czech Republic striker Milan Baros from Aston Villa.

“Czech international striker Milan Baros will be officially presented today (Monday) at 4pm,” read the statement on Lyon’s official website.

The move reunites Baros with Gerard Houllier, the coach who originally brought the striker to England when he was in charge at Liverpool.

Baros was top scorer in Euro 2004 but a series of injuries has seen him struggle to reproduce that form and this season he has scored just one goal in 17 appearances.

Baros’ departure has raised a question mark over the future of Lyon’s Norwegian striker John Carew.

Carew is expected at Villa Park on Monday to discuss terms ahead of a possible swap deal.
