Joey Barton will be released from jail after being granted bail by a judge.
The Newcastle United midfielder was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray after an incident in Liverpool on December 27.
The player had earlier been refused bail by magistrates but after an hour-long hearing a judge granted him bail.
The 25-year-old was arrested with his 19-year-old brother Andrew and Nadine Wilson, 27, from Huyton, Merseyside.
The charges follow an alleged confrontation at a McDonald’s in Liverpool at 0530 GMT on 27 December.
