Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have denied reports that Borussia Dortmund’s Brazilian left back Dede has signed a contract to join the club.
Bayern are searching for a long-term successor for French international full-back Bixente Lizarazu and Dede was regarded as a potential replacement.
Despite revealing an interest in the Brazilan, Bayern deny that a formal approach has been made.
“It is not true that Dede has signed a contract with Bayern,” coach Ottmar Hitzfeld told the Abendzeitung newspaper.
“We have not held negotiations or talked with the player.”
