Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has cast doubt on the likelihood of signing David Beckham on loan, as the midfielder won’t be fit to play a Premier League match until the end of January.

Beckham has begun a training stint with Spurs, who have been considering a short term loan move for the former England captain.

Redknapp says “before you know it, a month will have gone and then it would be only a couple of weeks so it’s a difficult one.”
