Man City fans will be hoping striker Robinho, who was on target three times last weekend, still has his scoring boots on when they travel to Bolton on Sunday.

David Beckham’s lawyers are heading to Italy to talk to Milan about his prospective loan move, but club chief executive Adriano Galliani has admitted that the deal is not yet certain to go through.

The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder, 33, wants to join Milan for three months from January in order to maintain fitness during the United States close season and remain in contention for an England squad place.

“At first it seemed they would come next week; instead Beckham’s lawyers will be in Milan today,” Galliani told reporters on Thursday.

“We will start talks. I don’t know if they will end positively but I hope and believe they will. We have to work out everything.”
