Poland coach Leo Beenhakker dropped Grzegorz Bronowicki as well as Radoslaw Majewski and Radoslaw Matusiak from his provisional squad for Euro 2008.

“All three of them had great ambitions and worked hard, but will not go to the championships,” Beenhakker said. “It was not easy for them, but they accepted my decision with class and respected it.”

In the case of Bronowicki, Beenhakker decided to drop him due to a slow recovery from a knee injury. Majewski, 21, was still too young, claimed Beenhakker, while Matusiak has struggled to find his form.

The Poles are in Group B where they will face co-hosts Austria, Germany and Croatia.
