West Ham winger Valon Behrami admits he is disappointed to still be at Upton Park this season.
The Switzerland international held talks with Roma during the transfer window about a possible switch to the Italian capital, but the Serie A outfit were unable to sell players to raise the required funds.
And while admitting his frustration over the failure to leave, Behrami expects to be part of manager Avram Grant’s plans this season.
“I am disappointed the deal failed to go through – that is for certain,” said Behrami in The Sun.
“Avram Grant gave me his permission to speak with Roma.
“But he also said he needs me, with West Ham bottom of the table. I’m sure I’ll still get to play for them.”
