Liverpool manager Rafael Bentiez has signed a contract to stay at Anfield for another four years.
The new deal is a one-year extention to his current deal and keeps Benitez on Merseyside until 2010.
The Spaniard, who took Liverpool to Champions League glory last year and to FA Cup success last month, said he was delighted to have reaffirmed his commitment to the club.
“There was never going to be a problem once we reached an agreement last season and now all the documents have been signed and sent to the club,” Benitez said.
“I’m very happy at Liverpool and hope we can enjoy more success in the seasons to come.”
