Birmingham have confirmed that they are considering a move for Celtic duo Henrik Larsson and John Hartson.

Larsson is expected to leave Celtic at the end of the season, and Birmingham manager Steve Bruce is reportedly keen for he and Hartson to moveto St.. Andrews.

“Steve has a high regard for both players and who wouldn’t want strikers like that?” Blues chairman David Gold told the Scottish Daily Mail newspaper.

“Henrik is a fantastic player with a scoring record that is second to none.

“I think you can take it there is every chance we will be coming after him come the end of the season.”

Birmingham will face stiff competition for the signing of Larsson with Newcastle reported to be keen on securing the Swede’s services.
