Bolton have completed the signing of Spanish defender Cesar Martin.
The 29-year-old is able to join the Premiership club immediately as his contract with Spanish side Levante was cancelled at the end of last month. He joins Bolton until the end of the season.
Martin has has been capped for Spain nine times, although his last apppearance for the national team was back in 2004.
Manager Sam Allardyce told the Bolton website: “Cesar can make an impact in the last 11 games of the season.
“I am delighted to sign Cesar. I had been monitoring him for quite some time.
“Once he became a free agent, we moved quickly to secure his services.
“He has some key attributes, which will potentially strengthen our defensive unit once he reaches the optimum level of fitness.”
