Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira made no surprises when announcing his squad for the international friendly against Mexico on April 30th.

Parreira named sixteen European based players for the squad but will not name the six Brazilian based players that will complete his squad until next Tuesday.

The only notable absentees include Roberto Carlos, who is banned from international matches for manhandling a referee in the recent Portugal game and Denilson, who is suffering from a knee injury.

Defended his decision to name no new players in the squad for a friendly game, Parreira said: “Who’s worried about new players? We have a winning team with what we have.”

The full European based squad is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Dida (Milan)
Defenders: Cafu (Roma), Edmilson (Lyon), Belletti (Villareal), Juan (Bayer Leverkusen), Junior (Parma).
Midfielders: Emerson (Roma), Juninho Pernambucano (Lyon), Gilberto Silva (Arsenal), Flavio Conceicao (Real Madrid), Ze Roberto (Bayern Munich), Ronaldinho (PSG).
Strikers: Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Adriano (Parma), Amoroso (Borussia Dortmund), Rivaldo (Milan).
