Austrian Bundesliga side Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz have appointed Regi van Acker as their new coach following the sacking of Rainer Horgl last week.

The former K. Lierse SK coachhas been appointed until the end of the season, but will then have an option to extend his contract by an additional two years.

Bregenz have struggled ths seaon, currently lying in seventh place in the ten-team league.

Belgium-born Van Acker’s first game in charge will be at fourth-placed SK Rapid Wien this weekend.
