Karel Bruckner said he would step down as Czech Republic coach after the Euro 2008 finals in June.
“After 34 years of coaching I have decided on a different lifestyle,” the 68-year-old told the Czech FA’s official Web site.
Bruckner guided the team to the Euro 2004 semi-finals and his side also qualified for the 2006 World Cup, their first appearance in the finals for 16 years.
Bruckner also coached the Czech under-21 team from 1998-2001.
The Czechs have been drawn in Euro 2008 Group A alongside co-hosts Switzerland, Portugal and Turkey.
