South Africa striker Delron Buckley has been handed a six week ban following his sending-off in a German Cup semi-final.

Buckley, who plays for Bundesliga side Arminia Bielefeld, was dismissed for pushing referee Markus Merk after he awarded a penalty toBayern Munich in Wednesday’s tie.

Bayern went throught to the final with a 2-0 win courtesy an early goal and the penalty awarded in the third minute of stoppage time.

The ban effectively means that Buckley, who is Arminia’s leading scorer this season with 15 league goals, will not play again this season.
