Juventus insist that they have no intention of selling goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon this summer.

The Italian recently hinted that he could move and his club have recently been linked with Ajax’s Maarten Stekelenburg.

Premier League Arsenal have been credited with an interest in Buffon, who was replaced by Marco Storari in Sunday’s win over Roma due to illness.

But Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has dismissed suggestions of selling the World Cup winner.

“We will be counting on Buffon for the present and the future,” Marotta said after the win over Roma.

“We regularly talk with the player himself and his agent Silvano Martina. It is not our intention to sell him.”
