Sol Campbell is rated extremely doubtful for England’s Euro 2004 qualifier against Liechtenstein on Saturday.

Campbell appears to have aggravated an Achilles problem during Arsenal’s 3-1 FA Cup quarter-final replay victory over Chelsea.

Nonetheless, Campbell will report for England duty today along with Francis Jeffers and Chelsea duo Frank Lampard and John Terry ahead of Saturday’s game in Liechtenstein.

Although Campbelll still has an outside chance of playing in Vaduz, it now seems more likely that he will be rested in the hope he will be fit for next Wednesday’s qualifier against Turkey.

Arsenal boss Wenger admitted: ‘We will have to see how Sol Campbell reacts but I think he will be very short for the Liechtenstein game.’
