Juventus have confirmed that Fabio Cannavaro will complete his move from Real Madrid on 1st July.

The defender has rejoined Juve on a one-year deal after Real opted not to renew his contract.

The defender admitted last month that he would love to return to the club despite the unrest it would cause amongst Juve supporters following his departure from the club in 2006 in the aftermath of the match-fixing scandal.

The Old Lady sacked coach Claudio Ranieri on Monday after going seven games without a win but the deal to bring Cannavaro back to Italy still went through.

“I am sure I will be able to convince even the most sceptical fans thanks to my hard work, professionalism and passion with which I will approach this new adventure,” Cannavaro said.
