Fabio Cannavaro has claimed that he was “ditched” by Internazionale this summer.

Cannavaro who was sold to Juventus in the summer, said he had wanted to remain at San Siro.

“Internazionale ditched me three days before the end of the (transfer) market, so I knew I didn’t have the club’s faith.

“Now I’ve signed a four-year deal with Juve and I hope to finish my career there.”

The former Parma and Inter defender has looked impressive for his new club this season, helping the club to an unbeaten start in Serie A.

He spent much of last season on the sidelines, struggling with a variety of injuries.

“The only regret I can have is that Inter sold a player that is now completely recovered,” he added.

“I said many times that I wouldn’t have left Inter without showing who I was.

“But then they sold me.”

“At Inter there are too many changes. I remained there for two years and (in that time) there were three coaches and many players.

“This is the reason why Inter don’t win.”
