Chinese international captain Fan Zhiyi is on the verge of joining English second division side Cardiff City.
Fan, the former former Crystal Palace and Dundee has agreed personal terms with promotion-chasing Cardiff and will start training with them immediately while his application for a work permit is considered by the Home Office.
Fan has has been a free agent since the World Cup finals.
