Roma general manager Franco Baldini has admitted that playmaker Antonio Cassano may be sold by the club.

“I confirm that Cassano is not on the market. We are trying to extend his contract. However it seems many people think this isn’t our wish, but instead it is,” he said, before admitting that a sale could occur.

“The talks with the player and his agent are open and very complicated, nobody can exclude that in June, or even before he might be sold, because one can’t exclude anything. Roma don’t want to sell Cassano,,” he added.

“It is possible that he may be transferred, but we don’t want to sell him.”

“This summer we were able to resolve most of our financial problems, so it won’t be for money,” he added.

Juventus, Milan and Real Madrid have all shown an interest in the Italian playmaker.
