The draw for the knockout stage of the Champions League has been made with Real Msdrid’s meeting with Bayern Munich sure to be the most eagerly-awaited encounter.

Bayern, four-times winners who struggled to reach the knockout stage, will face nine-time champions Real for a place in the last 8.

Second favourites Manchester United meet 1987 European champions FC Porto, while strongly fancied Juventus have been handed a tricky tie against Deportivo La Coruna.

Teams who met in the group stage or those from the same country could not be drawn together.

The first-leg matches will be played on 24-25 February with the return legs on 9-10 March.

The first knockout round will be followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals and then the final, which will be played in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on 26 May. Ê
