Group H
Artmedia Bratislava v Inter

The Slovakians – who disposed of Celtic in the qualifying rounds – will be looking to claim another high profile European scalp as they host an Internazionale side whom Palermo coach Muricio Zamparini lambasted as “arrogant” after his side defeated the Nezzauri over the weekend.

“Each game in this group is a huge motivation for our players”, declared Artmedia’s coach Vladimir Weiss.

“I don’t need to talk about the Inter players – to play the likes of Figo and Adriano is the only motivation we need to put on a good display. We cannot wait for the game”.

Artmedia will be boosted by the news that Martin Mikucic and veteran defender Daniel Tchur have recovered from minor injuries, although full back Balazes Borbely is suspended.

Inter, meanwhile, are likely to start with Luis Figo and Dejan Stankovic on the right and left wing respectively, allowing Argentine Juan Sebastian Veron to move into his customary central midfield role.

Walter Samuel – one of three players whom the club signed from Real Madrid over the summer – is expected to start alongside Ivan Cordoba in the centre of the defence.
